LOVE / 528 hz / music to raise planetary vibration

Called "the miracle frequency" because the monks singing the mi (in do-re-mi) sound followed its resonance at the frequency of 528 hertz. This natural resonance is said to be felt closer to the chest and therefore to the heart. It’s also often sentimentally titled "the love frequency" because of the ancient traditional energy points. Here is a great visualization of the chakra map which includes the placement, color spectrum representation and musical note.

Dr. Masuru Emoto, the most qualified scientist of light and sound energy induction into water, has shown that a frequency burst of 528 hertz into water (or plant seeds, chocolate cakes or an ailing body) changes the molecular structure into a more geometrically beautiful shape. We are skeptical here at the ol’ pearl, but this guy has really convinced us that there is something fresh in the room after playing these tones. Some think that these subtle differences in tone are not capable of anything intensely special, but history science has been able to prove otherwise. You can try it today with modern devices by playing the tones into your drinking water via tuning forks of your own or an app such as the adorable Water Charger App.

Check out these cymatics patterns using the solfeggio sacred frequencies (including our current favorite, 528) producing the geometry often only seen in movies:

Musicians have been tuning their instruments to a pitch of A-440Hz only since the turn of the century. Before that there was a wide variety of orchestral tunings that we’ve been shut away from. Check out this brief timeline of pitch: http://www.piano-tuners.org/history/pitch.html

Musicians with guitars and iPhones could tune to 528hz easily using various helpful tuners for their device like Lovetunar and various web apps. This ancient futuristic utility allows guitar and bass players tune to 528 Hz — keeps the instrument in the standard EADGBE tuning yet down just enough to comfort the sound. Highly recommended. John Lennon experimented with this as did Michael Jackson.

We are convinced. Perhaps the radio will get good enough to start playing these reverse-hypnosis tones of peace, love and gratitude. What have we got to lose except ascension to the higher realm?

FRENCH LIT / La Belle / dirty disco

Walt Disney’s and Jean Cocteau’s adaptations of Beauty and the Beast are both based on the very well-known eponymous fairy tale which was written by the French Madame Le Prince de Beaumont (1756). A fairy tale re-written for children, taming it down from the far more sensational original.

The first Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la Bête) was written by Madame de Villeneuve in 1740. In her tale, the prince changed into a beast not only superficially but also in manners and mind. Every night, at dinner, the Beast asks the ritual question: “Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir, la Belle ?” which translates these days, not to a polite “Do you want to go to bed with me, beautiful?” but actually a lot more like “Do you wanna F*** me!?” And of course the princess is shocked and disgusted.

Now if you remember a very famous song, Lady Marmalade (written by Bob Crewe & Kenny Nolan, produced by Allen Toussaint) performed by some curiously-named Patti LaBelle. Patti even uses the capital “B” in the second part of her last name (pseudonym), as in the quite non-subtle original French version. Uncanny similarities? We speculate that this is indeed the true origin.

Now you know what Patti is really singing, that demanding Diva!
Enjoy this original song more than ever before with all of its expletives:

14 FEB 2010 / Year Of The (Metal) Tiger / st. valentine’s day

Today, the 14th of February, 2010 is but a Hallmark Holiday in the United States and abroad some like to call Saint Valentine’s Day. In ancient (3500 yrs+) Chinese astrology, this is the first day of 寅 (The Year Of The Tiger, 14 Feb 2010 – 2 Feb 2011) which tends to come around every 12 years and more specifically every 48 years to get the same animal/elemental match — this year is the Metal Tiger. The Tiger symbolizes courage and fearless protection. We are going to need a lot of courage this year and luckily we’ll have it. Props to the ancient Chinese!

Les Paul and Mary Ford performing
HOLD THAT TIGER
from the 1953 “The Colgate Comedy Hour” tapings:

Not to digress, but honestly, isn’t this another amazing moment from Les Paul and wife Mary Ford? “Here kitty kitty kitty, here kitty kitty!” We love them. Les Paul is well-known for inventing the electric guitar and composing many standards musicians play today, but he also invented a tiny little thing that was to become massively important: MULTI-TRACK RECORDING! The first to put sound on sound, overdubbing, constructing layers of guitars and Mary’s vocal harmonies. He passed away last August 2009 at the age of 94. He was playing gigs that year!

If you are unaware of this genius, music, technology and history buffs alike really must watch the documentary “Les Paul: Chasing Sound!” by John Paulson and James Arnts. (that links to hulu.com which is only available in some countries- we are deeply sorry, try searching elsewhere). If you love music you will throw your arms around him. If you are a guitar player you will throw yourself out a window. Happy Valentine’s, Mary, Les and Tigers everywhere!
